GMC PROJECT LIBERIA

FUNDRAISER EVENT

On September 24th, GMC Liberia Project Committee hosted a one-day, 4-Team Fundraiser tournament to help purchase more backpacks and school supplies for children in Liberia. The goal was to raise a MINIMUM OF $3,500.00.

ABOUT OUR PROJECT

GMC LIBERIA PROJECT COMMITTEE plans to travel to Liberia in February 2023.

The objective of our project is to build cohesive and thriving community; making young people feel good about their educational pursuits; Show support to parents to strive forward toward a goal; Promote self-esteem and amongst others.

FOCUS AREA

The Project committee plans to focus its project on schools located in the rural areas; outside of Montserrado county. The committee will identify at least two schools that will benefit from the distribution of the backpacks and school supplies. The committee also intend to host a mini soccer tournament as a way of engaging the communities in which the supplies will distributed.

Our minimum target is to serve 1,000 students: distributing 1,000 backpacks, 5,000 notebooks, 2,000 pens, 2,000 pencils, 2,000 erasers, and 1,000 rulers.
