MENTORSHIP

MENTORING OVERVIEW

The Good Men's Club of Minnesota is dedicated to promoting racial integration, skills development, and equity through its youth mentorship and skills building programs. Beginning this spring, we will pair young people with experienced mentors who will provide advice, feedback, and networking opportunities, as well as offer training sessions on a range of topics, including communication, teamwork, leadership, financial management, and technical skills. We will also invite guest speakers to share their experiences and insights, establish an internship program, and provide opportunities for professional development. Our social events will provide opportunities for youth to connect with peers and build relationships across racial and cultural lines. Through these efforts, we aim to empower young people to become leaders, make a positive impact in their communities, and achieve their full potential, while also promoting equity and racial justice.

In addition, we invite guest speakers to share their experiences and insights, encourage volunteer work, establish an internship program, and provide opportunities for professional development. Our social events provide opportunities for youth to connect with peers and build relationships. Through these efforts, our goal is to empower young people to become leaders, make a positive impact in their communities, and achieve their full potential.

After School Enrichment Program

The Good Men's Club of Minnesota is committed to providing a safe and supportive after-school enrichment program for young people in the community. Our program offers a variety of engaging and educational activities that promote academic achievement, character development, and positive social interactions. Through mentoring, tutoring, leadership development, community service opportunities, and other activities, we strive to empower young men to become responsible, respectful, and engaged members of their communities.

Our program includes homework help, sports and physical fitness activities, arts and crafts, music lessons, STEM activities, cooking classes, leadership and character development workshops, community service opportunities, and field trips to museums, parks, and cultural events. We believe that by providing a positive and enriching after-school environment, we can help young people develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and beyond.

We encourage all of our participants to succeed in all aspects of their lives: education, positive goals setting, personal confidence, good sportsmanship, teamwork, and living a healthy lifestyle.

  • Each participant will also receive a FREE t-shirt and other promotional items during events.
